What’s up? Oslo is the (FLOSS) place to be in April!

A little update of activities here in Oslo this month for you FLOSS lovers:

  • CommunityONE North at Folketeateret, Oslo – 15th of April. Register here, entrance is FREE!Highlights:
    * Ian
    as in debian, Håkon Wium Lie as in CSS/Opera (both will be in the GoOpen conference as well).
    * Under this conference I will be introducing some speech holders.
    * FreeCode Int and IT+46 will have a joint presentation: The Umoja Project – A Swahili translation community effort showing the Firefox and OpenOffice.Org experience as showcases  and put them into a greater cooperation framework of other FLOSS and translation work done in Africa thorugh the African Localisation Network.
  • GoOpen 2009 conference at Folketeateret, Oslo – 16th and 17th of April. Register here, entrance is not free, but it is worth paying for. Highlights:
    *
    Here there will be great mix of speech holders (Maddog ++).
    * The obligatory Ubuntu demo and a lot more :)
  • Nordic Perl Workshop 2009 at Folketeateret, Oslo – 16th and 17th of April. Register here. The conference topic is “Your future with Perl”. Highligths:
    * Features talks by Perl luminaries such as Larry Wall, Matt Trout, Jonathan Worthington and more
  • Ubuntu Release Party, Oslo – 23rd of April. More details to come… stay tuned!

Nordic Perl Workshop 2009

So if you don’t know what to do after the eastern holiday, jump to Oslo and get your brain fill in with software freedom and the nice taste of spring!
